E-Capital II backs up the acquisition of Goldie (Louvain-la-Neuve), the largest garden center in Wallonia by Garden Vision, its build up vehicle in the garden center business. With this acquisition, Garden Vision becomes the largest operator of garden center in the French speaking Belgium and amongst the largest in Belgium. Total turnover now reaches over 20 Mio EUR.

Dirk De Weghe joins the team of E-Capital as Investment Analyst. Dirk started his career in 2006 within KBC Securities as a Sell-side Equity Analyst where he was responsible for the coverage of Belgian software (RealDolmen, IRIS…) and media (EVS, Alfacam…) companies quoted on Euronext Brussels.
Dirk De Weghe has a degree in Applied Economics (KUL, 2005) and holds a Master in Financial Management (Vlerick, 2006).

E-Capital II, alongside 2 of the founders, Alain Nandrin and Patrick Vastenaekels, becomes shareholder of Mostra, one of the largest communication agencies providing a full range of services, ranging from information campaigns to media relations, audiovisual products, printed materials, websites, and events to the European institutions and other international organizations.

E-Capital II, alongside the management, becomes a shareholder of Global Impact, a Belgian designer and producer of basic textiles and hosiery products for well-known quality brands such as Disney, Diadora or Studio 100.

E-Capital II supports the acquisition of Coin Vert, a large garden center based in Namur, by Garden Vision, its build-up vehicle in garden-centers.

E-Capital II participates in a capital increase of Signs and Facades, its buy-and-build vehicle for advertising signs and aluminium facades businesses, to finance the acquisition of Belgoneon, the largest advertising signs producer in Wallonia. By doing so, Signs and Facades becomes the largest advertising signs producer in Belgium.

E-Capital I sells its stake in Guillaume-Teco to BV Capital Partners. E-Capital had acquired the company from its founder in June 2005.

E-Capital II, alongside Pentahold and the founders, takes over the Hobby Garden Group, a specialist retailer active in the garden centers.

E-Capital I sells its participation in Gevaertbandweverij to Alfatex Group, a leading producer in the field of fasteners.
